Brazilian Basketball Federation Signs $16.3M Partnership For Training Center

The Christian University Foundation (FUNVIC) and the Brazilian Basketball Federation (CBB) signed a partnership contract Wednesday to build a basketball training center in the city of Pindamonhangaba in São Paulo. CBB President Carlos Nunes: "We signed the most important partnership with FUNVIC so we can turn to reality a cherished dream of several CBB managers. In the training center, we will have the opportunity to train our teams with more time. ... We thank FUNVIC's involvement because without them this project would not be possible." With a signed contract, CBB and FUNVIC are moving toward the fundraising portion of the partnership. FUNVIC President Luis Otávio Palhari: "The project was approved in two steps. The first is R$26 million. We have already had some talks with several partners and many were only awaiting this signature" (Ministério do Esporte).
