Palmeiras' Gross Income of $2M Is Currently Largest In Brazil

Brasileiro side Palmeiras, along with its stadium, currently have the highest earnings of any Brazilian club so far in '15, according to Lucas Mello of PLACAR. Palmeiras' gross income of R$5.5M ($2M) "could have been higher," despite making Corinthians' gross income of R$2.3M ($808,000) and Grêmio's of R$1.7M ($598,000) "totally inferior." Palmeiras gross income is larger than the "total of all of the Campeonato Carioca gross income," which is R$4.1M ($1.4M), and the "total of all the Campeonato Gaúcho," which, at the moment, is R$4.2M ($1.5M). Palmeiras "represents roughly one-third of the Campeonato Paulista gross income," which is currently R$3M ($1.1M) (PLACAR, 2/25).
