Media Notes: More Than 15 Million Viewers Tuned In To Watch Formula E Races In Japan

Formula E has proven to be a success with fans in Japan, with the opening four races of the championship pulling in a huge TV audience. In fact, so far the Japanese fans, who can watch all Formula E action live via TV Asahi, have been the single largest audience with a combined viewership of more than 15 million for the opening four races. The passion for electric racing also appears to be mirrored with the Japanese enthusiasm for electric cars. Recently released figures show that there are now more electric car charging points in Japan than there are petrol stations (Formula E). ... The Professional Squash Association expanded its broadcast portfolio with the addition of SKY TV New Zealand after signing an 18-month agreement with the Australasia broadcaster. The agreement, which was reached in conjunction with Broadreach Media, will see live squash from the PSA World Tour broadcast across New Zealand to the channel's more than 800,000 customers for the first time ever (PSA).
