Real Madrid lawyer ÁLVARO GARCÍA-ALAMÁN has been incorporated into the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS). The TAS has 85 lawyers that specialize in football. This includes five who are Spanish, though only García-Alamán and Sevilla Dir General JOSÉ MARÍA CRUZ work for La Liga clubs (AS, 2/2). ... Striker DIAFRA SAKHO and EPL side West Ham face a FIFA inquiry "over his withdrawal from Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations squad." FIFA said that it has opened disciplinary proceedings for "a potential violation of regulations." Sakho, 25, "withdrew with a back injury, but later scored for the Hammers in their 1-0 FA Cup win at Bristol City" (BBC, 2/2). ... Champion trainer PETER MOODY has been fined A$12,000 ($9,400) "for two positive raceday samples to ibuprofen" taken from HOUSE OF HINGIS in November last year. PGA Tour golfer BAE SANG-MOON "has been charged with violating South Korea’s law on military conscription for his failure to return home after his overseas travel permit expired." Daegu Nambu Police Station in Daegu, Bae’s hometown, said that the Daegu regional office of the Military Manpower Administration "has filed the charge against Bae, whose visa ran out at the end of 2014."
