Marketplace Roundup: Tokyo 2020 Names Asahi Breweries Gold Partner

The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee announced on Tuesday that Asahi Breweries will become a Gold Partner of the Games. Asai, Tokyo 2020's second sponsor, will be the Beer & Wine sponsor of the event (Tokyo 2020). ... The German Gymnastics Federation (DTB) agreed to a cooperation with Austrian tourism region Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. As part of the three-year deal, the region becomes an official partner of the DTB (DTB). ... Spanish women's footballer Vero Boquete signed an image contract with adidas on Tuesday. Boquete is the first Spanish women's player to sign a sponsorship deal with a sports brand. It is a "product sponsorship, without financial compensation, in which adidas will provide Boquete with equipment" (AS, 1/27). ... The Malta FA announced that construction firm Attian Group will be the new FA Trophy sponsors. Attian Group deals with civil and industrial construction and specializes in green and eco-friendly buildings of Italian design (MFA). ... Financial services company CMC Markets announced its continued support of Super Rugby side NSW Waratahs, through an upgraded two-year sponsorship package. The CMC Markets logo will appear on the sleeve of the new-look 2015 NSW Waratahs home and away jerseys (NSW Waratahs). ... Ligue 1 side SC Bastia signed a deal with mineral water brand Orezza. The Corsican manufacturer "will be designated an official partner of the team, with the deal coming just two weeks after it signed a similar agreement with another Ligue 1 outfit, AS Monaco" (SOCCEREX, 1/27). ... Fruit and vegetables producer Del Monte announced its title sponsorship of the 30th GCC Club Cup Championship. Starting Tuesday, the tournament will run across the GCC with the final taking place on May 27. The tournament will include some of the region's top players (Del Monte). ... The Kenyan Premier League "has for the fourth year running signed an official match ball deal with Puma." This year’s deal "will see the sports equipment company supply 500 balls to be used in this season’s KPL" (STANDARD MEDIA, 1/27). ... Airlines LANTOURS and TAM Viagens were confirmed as the official airlines of the 2015 Copa América, which will be held in Chile from June 11-July 4. The airlines will offer special packages to game venues including flights, hotels and game tickets (Copa América).
