Football Notes: Spanish Second Division Side Numancia Starts Nursery For Fans

Spanish second division side Numancia "has found a solution for fans that do not know who to leave their kids with when attending games," as the club has started a "nursery available to fans during games." The "pioneer initiative among Spanish second division clubs was proposed and agreed upon Tuesday in collaboration with children's academy Aprendix." It will debut during Numancia's game against Real Betis on Saturday (MARCA, 1/27). ... Atlético Madrid has signed an agreement with Never Empty, which sells tickets via an auction system. For the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarterfinal against Barcelona, which will be held Wednesday, 150 seats in one corner of the stadium's upper deck will be sold using Never Empty. The minimum price in this case will be €40 ($45.62), and "each person can establish the amount he or she wants to pay: it will be the club that decides whether to accept the offers." This will be a pilot "in which Atlético explores new commercial and social opportunities" (MARCA, 1/27).
