Marketplace Roundup: Sauber F1 Team Agrees To Partnership With Hewlett-Packard

The Sauber F1 Team announced Hewlett-Packard as a promotional partner. The partnership allows Sauber to access the latest technologies from Hewlett-Packard (Sauber F1). ... Anheuser-Busch InBev Germany will improve and increase its presence at the Weser Stadium during the second half of the '14-15 Bundesliga season as part of its agreement with Werder Bremen. In addition to local beer brand Haake-Beck, AB InBev Germany will use its int'l brand Beck's throughout the stadium (Werder Bremen). ... EPL side Sunderland announced on Monday that it has signed a new long-term contract extension with hospitality provider Centerplate to continue to provide public match-day catering at the Stadium of Light, a role it has played since '97. As part of the new relationship, Centerplate is establishing Sunderland's Stadium of Light as a Centre of Excellence -- a move which will see the venue become a center for innovation in sports stadia catering from staff training, and development of new food and drink concepts, to the beta-testing of new equipment and technologies (Sunderland). ... German 3rd League football club MSV Duisburg has signed car dealership group Tiemeyer as a new shirt sponsor until the end of the '14-15 season. Tiemeyer has committed around €150,000 ($168,900) to sponsor the MSV Duisburg shirts until the end of this season (SOCCEREX, 1/26).

IN SPAIN: Barcelona has reached a four-year sponsorship agreement with Brazilian foot deodorant Baruel in which the brand becomes an official sponsor of the club. Baruel is Barcelona's first Brazilian sponsor. Neymar -- who is already sponsored by the company -- attended the press conference announcing the deal on Monday and will be the main spokesperson for the partnership. Barcelona has nearly 5 million Brazilian Facebook followers, and the club's Brazilian Twitter account has nearly 200,000 followers (Barcelona). Barça VP Javier Faus addressed a suspended friendly in Qatar. Faus: "It is only delayed, not canceled, and we will try to hold it between now and next season." He added that next week "an institutional delegation including two players will travel to Qatar to attend a ceremony," but he did not name the players (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 1/26).
