Marketplace Roundup: German Football League Partners With Sports Business Academy

The German Football League (DFL) agreed to a partnership with SPOAC - Sports Business Academy by WHU. The institute was founded by a private university, WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management and sports business publication and event organizer SPONSORs in December. The institiute is offering training opportunities to sports business execs. As part of the cooperation, the DFL will use SPOAC's offerings for its execs and also contribute to the institute by providing input from the real world (SPONSORs). ... The Professional Squash Association has signed a four-year agreement with sports data specialist Sportradar that will see it become the PSA's official sports data partner. The agreement will see Sportradar granted the right to distribute all PSA data to the betting and media industry, including data from the Women's Squash Association tour after they joined forces with the PSA on Jan. 1 (Sportradar). ... ManU and KamaGames signed a global partnership and multi-year deal in which Kama Games becomes the official social casino games partner of the club. KamaGames is a global developer and publisher of social games for mobile platforms, online, Steam, Xbox Live and Playstation networks (ManU). ... League One side Sheffield United agreed to a new sponsorship deal with Chapeltown-based Presto, a supplier of cutting tool solutions across a wide range of industrial applications whose history stretches back to 1843. The new partnership will see the Presto logo featured on the training bibs of the first team (Sheffield United).

LAPIZTA TO BACK PRAMAC: Watch brand Lapizta has joined forces with the Pramac Racing Team for the 2015 MotoGP season (Lapizta). ... Australian Football League sides St. Kilda and Lion Dairy & Drinks announced that Dare Iced Coffee will be the club’s principal partner for '15 and beyond. The two-year deal -- with an option for a third year -- will see Dare Iced Coffee become the Saints biggest corporate partner (St. Kilda). ... The Qatar 2015 Organizing Committee announced Ali Bin Ali Beverages as an official partner of the 24th Men's Handball World Championships. Ali Bin Ali Beverages is supplying beverages from the Pepsi line for the event that runs until Feb. 1 (Qatar 2015). ... The sports marketing arm of Japanese advertising company Dentsu "has extended its deal with the East Asian Football Federation." The deal sees Dentsu "continue as the EAFF's exclusive global marketing and media rights agency and includes all EAFF tournaments" from '16-21 (SOCCEREX, 1/20). ... The Polish national football team "has found a new sponsor in mineral water company Ustronianka." The Polish FA confirmed that Silesia's Ustron-based company "will support the side at least throughout the Euro 2016 qualifiers, and the finals in France if Poland gets through" (THE NEWS, 1/19).
