Austrian TV Channel ServusTV Records 120,000 Viewers For DEL Broadcast

Austrian free-to-air TV channel ServusTV "attracted an average of 120,000 viewers to its broadcast of the German Hockey League (DEL) matchup between Nuremberg and Cologne on Sunday," according to Izman & Krei of DWDL. The number translated into a market share of 0.4%. In the target demographic 14-49, Nuremberg's 4-2 victory obtained a market share of 0.5%. The game's ratings were on par with ServusTV's number for the 2nd DEL Winter Game a week ago. The outdoor game was watched by an average of 140,000 viewers and had a market share of 0.7% in the target demo.

HANDBALL WORLDS: German pay-TV channel Sky Deutschland recorded 310,000 viewers for its broadcast of the IHF Handball World Championship matchup between Germany and Russia on Sunday afternoon. In the target demographic, Germany's 27-26 victory obtained a market share of 1.9%. Germany's opening match against Poland on Friday had a market share of 1.1% in the target demo as only 120,000 viewers tuned in. Sunday's pregame coverage attracted 100,000 viewers and had a 0.5% share in the target demo

SNOOKER MASTERS: Pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport attracted 210,000 viewers for its broadcast of the Snooker Masters final on Sunday. The broadcast, which started at 8pm, had a market share of 0.6% along with 0.5% in the target demo. Eurosport's broadcast of the men's biathlon race earlier in the day was watched by 360,000 viewers and a 2% share, including 1.5% in the target demo. The channel's ski jumping coverage ahead of the biathlon broadcast obtained a 3.6% share as 590,000 viewers tuned in (DWDL, 1/19).
