Coca-Cola To Sponsor Next Year's Rugby World Cup In England

Coca-Cola confirmed it will be the official sponsor of Rugby World Cup 2015, "building on its long standing partnership with the sports event," according to Sara Spary of MARKETING MAGAZINE. It will be the "soft drink, sports drink and water supplier." Coca-Cola, which "has partnered with the event since the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa, has featured at every tournament as either a worldwide partner or tournament supplier for almost two decades." It will join forces with int'l rugby player Brian O’Driscoll as part of the campaign. Coca-Cola Rugby World Cup 2015 GM Paul Dwan: "The game enjoys fantastic support and we hope that through our sponsorship we can bring rugby to an even wider audience next year" (MARKETING MAGAZINE, 12/17).
