Paddy Power Marketing Chief CHRISTIAN WOOLFENDEN has been promoted to managing director of retail for the U.K. and Ireland as “part of a wider management shake-up.” Woolfenden takes over the role from current retail head ANDY MCCUE, who will become Paddy Power's CEO from Jan.1. Woolfenden has held his position as global marketing director since ‘11, “overseeing risque campaigns such as the 'Shave the rainforest' stunt” ahead of the Brazil 2014 World Cup. The company's head of online, PETER O’DONOVAN, has been promoted to chief product officer. Current Operations Dir JOHNNY HARTNETT has been appointed managing director for Paddy Power online (MARKETING MAGAZINE, 12/9). ... Nike promoted Global Sales VP TOM PEDDIE to VP and general manager of emerging markets, replacing ROLAND WOLFRAM, who, “after 16 years with Nike, has decided to retire from the company on Jan. 9.” Peddie also previously held “senior-level management positions in Nike’s global sales organization,” including a stint as VP of sales for Asia Pacific & North America (OREGON LIVE, 12/9). ... Spanish second division side Osasuna named LUIS SABALZA its president. Sabalza, the only candidate in the club's recent elections, will be Osasuna's president for the next four years (EFE, 12/10). ...  Australian Football League NSW/ACT is “on the search for its third general manager in 10 months” after CRAIG BOLTON said he would leave the role at the end of the year. Bolton took over from former Geelong Cats premiership-winner TOM HARLEY in February, but is taking a job in the private sector. CRAIG WALLACE will begin as Ainslie's general manager of football in January. Wallace spent 11 years with The Club Group, as center manager for the Canberra Int’l Sports and Aquatic Center, but has previously worked in the SANFL (CANBERRA TIMES, 12/10). ... NORMAN CRIGHTON has left the Scottish Championship side Rangers Board. The club “confirmed the non-executive director's departure in a statement” to the London Stock Exchange Wednesday. Crighton was appointed to the board in Nov. ‘13 (HERALD SCOTLAND, 12/10).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Russian Football Premier League side Amkar Perm has separated from its coach SLAVO MUSLIN. The 61-year-old Serbian, former coach of Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, saw his new team "win only 12 points in 6 matches" (L’EQUIPE, 12/9). ... Ligue 2 side Le Havre coach ERICK MOMBAERTS asked to be released from his contract by Le Havre management after being “asked to participate in a project of int’l significance.” Given “the quality of the offer made” to Mombaerts, the club accepted his request. Assistant coach PHILIPPE BIZEUL will supervise the team for the next two matches (Le Havre). ... Australia's “two-time World Cup-winning captain” RICKY PONTING was appointed head coach of Indian Premier League side Mumbai Indians ahead of IPL 8 in place of JOHN WRIGHT. Ponting was associated with Mumbai Indians as a captain and player in IPL 6 and will use his association in “an enlarged role from the upcoming season” (PTI, 12/10).
