Marketplace Roundup: Liverpool Announces Betfair As Club's Official Betting Partner

Liverpool announced London-based bookmaker Betfair as the club's official betting partner in the U.K., Spain, Republic of Ireland, Denmark, Bulgaria and Italy. The relationship will see Betfair using the Reds' digital platforms to connect with fans in these regions (Liverpool). … Football Federation Australia announced AIA Vitality as the inaugural naming rights partner of MiniRoos, the football introductory program for boys and girls in Australia. The partnership will commence officially on Jan. 1 and is for a two-year period, in the life insurance category, with an option to extend at the end of the term (FFA). … Organizers of football's Int'l Champions Cup preseason tournament have signed Audi and Telstra as sponsors of 2015’s Melbourne edition of the event. The Australian arm of the German car manufacturer and the Australian telecom will back the event (GOAL, 11/25). ... A-League side Greater Western Sydney Giants are among the winners at the 2014 Australian Multicultural Marketing Awards. The Giants' promotion of AFL Multicultural Round was recognized at a ceremony at the Sydney Opera House Tuesday (GWS Giants). … Top 14 rugby side Stade Toulousain announced two new three-year partnerships. French apparel company Eden Park will become the official outfitter of the club while insurance provider Allianz France will become an official partner and “damage” insurer of the club’s sport facilities (Stade Toulousain). ... Spanish bank BBVA is "expected to announce later this week" a sponsorship of 21-year-old women's tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza, who recently decided to play for Spain instead of Venezuela in int'l competitions. BBVA sponsors a number of major teams and leagues, including, "curiously, the Venezuelan football team" (EL CONFIDENCIAL, 11/25).
