Spain-Belarus Euro 2016 Qualifier Draws Audience Of 4.7 Million On TVE's La 1

Spain's 3-0 win over Belarus in Saturday's Euro 2016 qualifier drew an audience of 4.69 million on TVE's La 1, which translated to a market share of 29.5%, according to the EP. The game's audience peaked at 9:26pm local time with 5.4 million viewers. La Roja's victory was the most-watched program of the day (EP, 11/16). L'EQUIPE reported Saturday "in prime time" on French TV channel France 2, the France-Australia rugby match "did extremely well" with 5.1 million viewers and a 22.3% audience share. France 2 had a peak audience of 6.1 million viewers and a 31.6% audience share at the end of the match (L’EQUIPE, 11/16). France's 1-1 draw against Albania Friday on French TV channel TF1 drew an average audience of 5.77 million viewers and a 22.5% audience share. This result was "a little lower than the last ratings results for the Bleus" (L’EQUIPE, 11/15).

KLITSCHKO K.O.: DWDL's Marcel Pohlig reported German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded more than 9 million viewers to its broadcast of the heavyweight fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Kubrat Pulev." A total of 9.16 million viewers tuned in to watch the fight late Saturday night. The number translated into a market share of 38.3%. In the target demographic 14-49, the fight, which Klitschko won by K.O. in the fifth round, attracted 3.27 million viewers and had a share of 34.2% (DWDL, 11/16).
