Event Notes: Vuelta A España Organizers Considering Night Finish In Madrid

Vuelta a España organizers Unipublic are reportedly "considering holding a night time finish on the final stage" of the '15 race in Madrid. While "nothing is yet confirmed," a representative of the Spanish grand tour organizers said that "it is possible" that the final stage will finish under lights on Sept. 13 (CYCLING WEEKLY, 11/13). ... Italy will face Argentina a "day earlier than expected for their rugby Test after a heavy rain forecast forced Saturday's game in Genoa to be cancelled" (AAP, 11/14). ... The Int’l Rugby Board announced a "new wave sale of tickets" for the next Rugby World Cup, which will "span 25 matches and nine different stadiums." After a total of 950,000 tickets were sold in September, "300,000 remaining tickets will go back on sale to the public at the end of November" (SPORT 24, 11/13).
