Lufthansa To Continue As Official DFB Partner For Another Four Years

Lufthansa extended its partnership with the German FA (DFB) until '18 and will remain an official partner of the DFB. As the official carrier, Lufthansa flies the players, trainers, staff and delegation members of the DFB team to all of their int'l matches and tournaments. The national team will travel with Lufthansa to France for the 2016 European Championship and to Russia for the 2018 World Cup -- as well as the women's football team for the World Cup in Canada next year. The agreement guarantees Lufthansa extensive rights and marketing benefits from the DFB, such as the inclusion of logos on all DFB communication material, as well as content for the airline’s social media platforms. Lufthansa and the DFB are also planning joint initiatives with representatives and fans of the DFB. Lufthansa has had partnerships with the DFB (since '05), FC Bayern Munich (since '04) and Eintracht Frankfurt (since '08) (Lufthansa).
