German Free-TV Channel Sat.1 Records Satisfying Ratings For Boxing, Fed Cup Final

German free-to-air TV channel Sat.1 "recorded satisfying ratings for its broadcast of the boxing fight between Robert Stieglitz and Felix Sturm on Saturday," according to Daniel Sallhoff of QUOTENMETER. The fight, which started at 11pm, attracted 2.97 million viewers along with 970,000 viewers in the target demographic 14-49. The numbers translated into a market share of 15.6% and 11.8%, respectively. Sat.1's pre-fight coverage, which started at 10:30pm, was watched by 1.3 million viewers. The show obtained a market share of 5% in the target demo. During the day, Sat. 1 "aired the the Fed Cup final matchup between Germany and the Czech Republic." The first singles match attracted 630,000 viewers starting at 1:09pm. The second match, which started at 3pm, had 590,000 viewers. In the target demographic, the matches received market shares of 6.1% and 4.9%, respectively. The Fed Cup analysis following the live broadcasts was watched by 360,000 viewers and had a 2.7% share. In the target demo, the show, which started at 4:30pm, obtained a 2.1% share as 90,000 viewers tuned in (QUOTENMETER, 11/9).
