Event Notes: Sports Conference Organizer Leaders To Host NFL Owners Jones, Khan

Sports conference organizer Leaders will host NFL Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones and NFL Jacksonville Jaguars Owner Shad Khan, who also owns EPL side Fulham, for a one-off breakfast alongside other sports execs before Sunday's Cowboys-Jaguars game at Wembley Stadium. The invite-only event for 100 leaders reached capacity 48 hours after being announced. Jones and Khan will discuss running a sports franchise, exciting trends in sports and the NFL's expansion opportunities (Leaders). ... The '15 edition of FIBA's 3-on-3 U18 World Championships will take place in Tunisia in June. The exact dates and location of the event, which will feature 48 teams from 36 countries, have not been announced. The event was originally scheduled in Israel but moved due to unrest in the region (FIBA). ... Sapporo and Sendai, Japan are among 14 Japanese cities that have applied to host 2019 Rugby World Cup matches. Tokyo's 80,000-seat National Stadium -- which also will be the centerpiece of the 2020 Olympics -- will be the tournament's main venue. Other bidding cities include Osaka, Kobe, Fukuoka and Nagasaki (AP, 11/5).
