Scottish Championship side Rangers Chair DAVID SOMERS has been appointed exec chairman on a temporary basis. He will oversee the recruitment of a new CEO and finance director following the departures of GRAHAM WALLACE and PHILIP NASH (BBC, 10/30). ... League 1 side Milton Keynes Exec Dir ANDREW CULLEN has been elected by League 1 clubs to serve on the Board of The Football League. Cullen will represent the division along with Notts County Chief Executive JAMES RODWELL, who was elected to the Board last year (Football League). ... Olympic Gold Medalist rifle shooter ABHINAV BINDRA has been elected chairman of the Int'l Shooting Sport Federation's Athletes Committee. Bindra will be the first Indian shooter "bestowed with the honour." He will also become a member of the ISSF's administrative council (PTI, 10/30). ... Campaign agency Seven46 announced it is establishing a presence in Japan that will be led by EMIRI TOKUNAGA. She is tasked with building on the company's support of Tokyo's successful bid to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Tokunaga will focus on developing new business opportunities, particularly with Japanese sports organizers and stakeholders ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup and Tokyo 2020 Games (Seven46).
