German 3rd League Club VfL Osnabrück Reports Loss Of €137K For '13-14 Season

German 3rd League football club VfL Osnabrück "has released its financial numbers for the '13-14 season," according to the NEUE OSNABRÜCKER ZEITUNG. The club reported a loss of €137,000 during the '13-14 season. It originally calculated with a loss of €765,000, but income of €584,000 from the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) and €778,000 from the sale of players improved the numbers. Osnabrück Supervisory Board Chair Olaf Becker said, "We are on course, we aren't over the hill yet, but we are on our way up." During the '12-13 season, the club lost €2.2M. The club's payroll including coaches and officials currently stands at €3.2M ($4.1M) (NOZ, 10/27).
