Bundesliga Side SC Freiburg Reports Record Profit Of €12.8M For '13-14 Season

Bundesliga side SC Freiburg "has released its financial numbers for the '13-14 season, in which the club generated record profits," according to the SID. Freiburg announced at its annual general meeting that it generated a profit of €12.8M during the previous season, "largely due to its Europa League participation." The club will invest €5M ($6.4M) in the construction of its proposed new stadium. For the first time in Freiburg's history, the club reported a total revenue of more than €70M. In addition, a majority of 97.6% of club members "voted in favor of a new club constitution" (SID, 10/27).
