Gibraltar-Scotland Euro 2016 Qualifier To Take Place In Faro, Portugal

The Gibraltar FA has confirmed that Scotland's final Euro 2016 qualifier against Gibraltar will take place in Faro, Portugal, according to STV. There were fears the match on Oct. 11, 2015 may be "moved to London because of issues Gibraltar have encountered hosting their 'home' matches at Estádio Algarve." Supporters of the Gibraltar national side complained of "heavy-handed security procedures during their opening qualifier against Poland." Gibraltar officials said that they received correspondence from the Scottish FA "urging them to keep the game in Portugal as fans had already booked trips for the game" (STV, 10/28).
