The European Professional Handball Leagues Association elected FRANK BOHMANN "unanimously as the new president in the framework of its last meeting in Paris." Bohmann, the general manager of the German Handball Bundesliga since '03, "will preside over the EPHLA for the upcoming two years." PETER GENTZEL "was elected as vice president of the interest group" founded in '09. Ten European handball leagues are represented in the EPHLA (HANDBALL WORLD, 10/17). ... Champions Tour President MIKE STEVENS is leaving the PGA Tour effective Jan. 1. PGA Tour Championship Management Senior VP GREG MCLAUGHLIN will transition into the role. The 56-year-old Stevens said after a 35-year career in professional golf, both as a tournament director at the RBC Heritage and senior exec roles at the PGA Tour, the time was right to make a change and tendered his resignation this week (PGA Tour). ... Global public relations firm Ketchum Sports & Entertainment Partner & Dir ANN WOOL has been promoted to president of the expanding global unit. In a related move, KSE formalized a hub in London to serve as the European center of excellence for sports and entertainment. Wool joined Ketchum as senior vice president and director of Ketchum Sports Network in '01 and became a Ketchum partner in '09. In '12, Wool was one of 40 professionals profiled by Sports Business Journal in its annual "Game Changers" feature, dedicated to celebrating women who are making an impact in the sports industry. Prior to joining Ketchum, Wool spent 10 years at Edelman, where she played a role in establishing a sports and sponsorship marketing practice (Ketchum). ... Ligue 1 side Nice has announced that coach CLAUDE PUEL has signed a one-year extension to his contract. Puel, 53, took over at Nice in the summer of ‘12 on an initial three-year deal, but is "now guaranteed to remain on the Cote d’Azur until the end of next season," while also having an option to sign for a further year (Ligue 1).
