Spanish second division side Osasuna's administrative council on Tuesday "publicly presented its financing plan, which includes the draft of a law to pay its debt to the Spanish tax authorities," according to the EFE. In Osasuna's proposal, "which is being transferred to parliamentary groups, the club would cede its land" to the government of the Spanish state of Navarre to pay off €43M ($54M) of the €49M ($62M) owed to the Spanish tax authorities. Osasuna "would be obligated to repurchase the land within 30 years" (EFE, 10/14). NAVARRA DEPORTIVA reported "during the period in which the Navarre Government would become the owner of Osasuna's facilities, the club would rent the properties," paying €250,000 ($316,300) per year if in the Spanish second division and €1.5M ($1.9M) if competing in La Liga (NAVARRA DEPORTIVA, 10/14).
