Media Notes: FIS Freestyle, Snowboard World Championships To Be Broadcast On YouTube

Coverage of the Int'l Ski Federation (FIS) Freestyle and Snowboard World Championships "will be broadcast free-of-charge on YouTube for the first time next January." In conjunction with media rights partner Infront Sports & Media, action of the event, due to take place at Kreischberg, Austria from Jan. 15-25, "will be shown on the dedicated FIS Snowboard and FIS Freestyle YouTube channels." The coverage will be carried out via an HD TV live signal with graphics and English commentary, "and will only not be available in the host country Austria and in territories where exclusive media rights agreements are in place" (INSIDE THE GAMES, 10/8). ... Eurosport has acquired the pan-European rights to the first edition of the Indian Super League and will live broadcast 16 matches of the opening season between Sunday and Dec. 20 on Eurosport 2. Int'l ex-professional players will participate in the event, designed to help increase the profile of football in India. The event is co-promoted by IMG Reliance and Star India and includes eight Indian franchises with 22 players in each squad (Eurosport).
