Red Star Belgrade General Secretary Calls For Rules To Allow Private Money

Serbian club Red Star Belgrade General Secretary Zvezdan Terzic has called for an amendment to the country's sports bill that would "facilitate the potential privatisation of Serbian football clubs," according to Jaroslaw Adamowski of INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL. Terzic: "As long as the sports bill remains unchanged, there will be no strategic partners. Paragraphs 72 and 94 of the current bill on sports are preventing investors from using their own, private capital and profits [to invest in Serbian football clubs]." Terzic indicated that the Serbian Football Federation (FSS) "missed a chance to include the required amendments on the agenda in the period when the current bill was debated by the country's lawmakers" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 10/1).
