The NBA has named MASAAKI MATSUZAWA chief strategic officer and head of corporate development in China. Matsuzawa will lead the development and execution of NBA China's strategic plan, explore, evaluate, implement and lead new business opportunities, and manage investor relations. He will report to NBA China CEO DAVID SHOEMAKER. NBA China VP of Corporate Development GIN CHAO will report to Matsuzawa. Matsuzawa joins NBA China from Goldman Sachs & Co. in Hong Kong, where he most recently served as managing director in the investment banking division and COO for Asia mergers and acquisitions (NBA). ... GPS Industries has appointed former PGA of America CEO JOE STERANKA to its advisory board. Steranka will assist GPS Industries in formulating content and sales strategies for GPSI's Visage Media Network (GPS Industries). ... German media company Constantin Medien has extended its management board to include three positions. FRED KOGEL will take on new tasks as a management board member of both Constantin Medien and Constantin Film. OLAF SCHRÖDER will become the chairman of the management of Sport1. PATRICK FISCHER will become the chairman of the management of Constantin Sport Marketing (Constantin). ... Second Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig has agreed to an early contract extension with Managing Dir SOEREN OLIVER VOIGT until June 30, 2018. The 45-year-old has been in a leadership position at the club for 13 years and was appointed managing director in '08 (Eintracht Braunschweig).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Scottish Championship side Queen of the South has named JAMES FOWLER its new manager. The 33-year-old has acted as the club’s interm boss since JIM MCINTYRE's "departure to Ross County earlier this month" (STV, 9/30).
