Super League Side Salford Ordered To Pay Kit Supplier Kooga $57,200 Over Unpaid Bill

Bailiffs are poised to move into Super League rugby side Salford Red Devils, "which owes its kit supplier" Kooga about £35,000 ($57,200), according to Neal Keeling of the MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS. Manchester suburb Cheadle Hulme-based Kooga has served a "county court judgement on Salford Red Devils over an unpaid bill." The judgement was made on Wednesday and Kooga have been told bailiffs "will move in within the next 48 hours." A Kooga source said, "We are owed a substantial five figure sum, and some of the invoices date back to November. Originally they had a payment plan, but they didn’t stick to that. They asked for another payment plan and we said no, we want the full amount." The Red Devils "refused to comment" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 9/19).
