Bundesliga Side Borussia Mönchengladbach Expects More Than $129M In Revenue

Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach "will finish the '14 fiscal year, for the second time in its history, with triple-digit million revenue," according to SPORT1. Club Managing Dir Stephan Schippers said, "We will generate more than €100 million ($129M) in revenue. Fifteen years ago we stood -- converted into euros -- at €18 million." Last year, the club's revenue was €91M. Gladbach's record revenue of €122M was generated in '12. Schippers added that selling naming rights to the Borussia-Park stadium is still not an option. He said, "Our marketing opportunities run at full capacity, but a possible naming-rights partner for the stadium would extremely intrude on the club's identity" (SPORT1, 9/17).
