Event Notes: Tickets For 2015 Rugby World Cup Matches To Be Allocated By Ballots

Tickets for at least seven matches at next year's Rugby World Cup will be "allocated by ballot after the games were oversubscribed." The fixtures with the "highest demand include three of England's pool games." A spokesperson said the tournament organizers were "very pleased with the demand," but did not "disclose how many tickets had been sold" (BBC, 9/18). ... UEFA was expected to confirm that Milan's Giuseppe Meazza Stadium will host the '16 Champions League Final. San Siro, "as it is better known, has been reported as the competition's venue for the 2016 Final for a number of months, but delays in the administration process and necessary work to the ground have been seen as having held up an official announcement" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 9/18).
