Premiership rugby side Exeter Rugby Club has appointed BOB STADDON as its new president. The long-serving club stalwart, who first represented Exeter’s first team during the '64-65 season, has taken on the role from another former player, DICK MANLEY, who has decided to step down following a 15-year tenure in the post. Staddon has occupied various roles such as director of rugby, coach and trustee (Exeter Rugby Club). ... The World Baseball Softball Confederation has named former professional baseball and softball athlete LAURIE GOUTHRO its new assistant exec director for int'l softball. Gouthro will help lead the int'l softball management team, helping to oversea and lead the organization and legacy of the softball world championship platforms, including the Women's World Softball Championship (WBSC). ... The expansion Major League Soccer club in Atlanta, which is set to begin play in ’17, has named EPL club Tottenham Hotspur Dir of Football Administration DARREN EALES as its first president after "a months-long search." Eales has held his role at Tottenham since ’10 and “served in a variety of roles” for EPL club West Bromwich before that. The England native “played collegiately at West Virginia and then at Brown, where he was a first-team All-American.” Eales “is known as an expert negotiator.” One of his “first roles in Atlanta will be to hire a technical director/coach” (ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION, 9/10). ... The Int’l Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum board of directors elected former player TODD MARTIN CEO, succeeding MARK STENNING, who stepped down on Friday after holding the role since Sept. ’00. Martin also will serve as ATP HOF Tennis Championships tournament director (Int’l Tennis HOF & Museum). ... Back9Network named England-based alternative magazine Golf Punk Managing Editor TAYLOR MASSEY director of golf creative (Back9Network).

COACHES/MANAGERS: The Afghanistan Cricket Board on Thursday appointed ANDY MOLES as its new national coach. The appointment followed the resignation earlier this week of KABIR KHAN, Afghanistan’s long-serving national coach. Since his retirement as a player, Moles' int'l coaching career has included positions with Kenya ('03), Scotland ('05) and New Zealand ('08) (ACB).
