F1 team Caterham said that CHRISTIJAN ALBERS "has resigned as team principal" and is replaced by assistant MANFREDI RAVETTO. Albers said, "Due to private reasons and in order to be able to spend more time with my family, I will resign from my position as CEO of Caterham F1 Team. I wish the team all the best in the future" (AAP, 9/8). ... The World Curling Federation has announced that KATE CAITHNESS has been re-elected as president for a further term while also making a number of changes to the board at its annual general assembly. Caithness was the only candidate nominated for the next four-year term as president and was elected by acclamation (World Curling Federation). ... NENAD LALOVIC "has been elected to a six-year term as the president of the newly-christened United World Wrestling." Lalovic "took over as the acting president of the organization formerly known as FILA after the IOC recommended it be removed from the Olympics last year" (AP, 9/7).

COACHES/MANAGERS: J.League side Cerezo Osaka "made their second managerial change" of the season, promoting youth coach YUJI OKUMA for Italian MARCO PEZZAIUOLI. A night after it was eliminated on aggregate from the Nabisco Cup, Cerezo "hit the panic button, installing Okuma in his first J1 coaching job" (KYODO, 9/8).
