Gaelic Athletic Association Drops Ticket Prices For All-Ireland Semifinal On Saturday

The Gaelic Athletic Association is to "drop the price of tickets for Saturday's All-Ireland final semi-replay between Kerry and Mayo," according to Colm Keys of the IRISH INDEPENDENT. GAA President Liam O'Neill has confirmed that the cost of a semifinal stand ticket is normally €40 ($53), but this will drop by €10 ($13) while a "terrace ticket will now cost" €20 ($26), down from €25 ($33). The GAA has made this decision "as the controversy of fixing the game for the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick for 5pm on Saturday rumbles on." It is "not clear if the decision to drop tickets is because of the venue change." The GAA has dropped prices by €30 ($40) for the two All-Ireland hurling final replays in recent years (IRISH INDEPENDENT, 8/25).
