Media Notes: ITF Launches On Chinese Social Media Platforms Sina Weibo, Tencent WeChat

The Int'l Tennis Federation "launched Chinese social media platforms on Sina Weibo and Tencent WeChat, the Chinese versions of Twitter." ITF President Francesco Ricci Bitti said that "the platforms' first objective is extensive coverage of the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, adding that more initiatives are just around the corner" (XINHUA, 8/21). ... Fans of the Champions Hockey League will be able to follow all 161 games on various platforms mainly across Europe and the U.S. -- complemented by online coverage on championshockeyleague.net. In total, Infront Sports & Media signed agreements with 11 broadcasters worldwide (Infront).
