Scottish Professional Football League Agrees To Broadcast Deal With BBC Scotland

The Scottish Professional Football League confirmed BBC Scotland "will broadcast television highlights, radio commentary and online clips of the Championship this season," according to the HERALD SCOTLAND. The package "forms part of a range of broadcast deals agreed with the BBC, STV and also the Bauer Group." The league body -- "which announced earlier this summer that there would be increased coverage of Scottish football on Sky Sports, BT Sport and BBC Alba" -- expect the new deals to be worth a six-figure sum of money distributed across all 42 senior clubs (HERALD SCOTLAND, 8/7).
