Glasgow Commonwealth Games To Air On TV In All 71 Competing Nations

Sports fans in all of the nations competing in the Commonwealth Games "will be able to follow the action from Glasgow 2014 on television for the first time ever," according to the HERALD SCOTLAND. Organizers have announced that "deals have been secured with broadcasters in each of the 71 competing nations and territories, as well as countries outside the Commonwealth," including the U.S. and China. CBS Sports in the U.S., Television Jamaica in the Caribbean and Network 10 in Australia "are among the firms to agree deals." The BBC "has won the rights to broadcast the Games, which will have a global audience of more than 1.5 billion," in the U.K. (HERALD SCOTLAND, 7/11).
