Int'l Champions Cup Organizer Relevent Sports Secures Broadcast Deals In Spain, Middle East

The Int'l Champions Cup preseason football tournament in the U.S., organized by Relevent Sports, has secured "additional broadcast deals for this year's edition in multiple territories," according to SOCCEREX. Mediaset España has acquired the "live rights to all matches, as well as additional highlights programming, in Spain and Andorra." Mediaset's free-to-air channel Telecinco will show "certain fixtures live as part of the deal." Abu Dhabi Media's Abu Dhabi Sports network has acquired the "multi-platform rights covering North Africa and the Middle East, while Chinese state broadcaster CCTV will show all matches as well as highlights on its CCTV 5 sports channel." Further deals have "also been struck by Catalyst Media Group, the tournament's exclusive worldwide media rights partner, with DTV in Turkey; Sport 1 in the Netherlands; Fox Sports in Australia; CTN TV in Cambodia; and BRTC in Belarus." The tournament begins July 24 in Toronto and ends at Miami's Sun Life Stadium on Aug. 4 (SOCCEREX, 7/7).
