JOHN TSATSIMAS was named Western Sydney's new CEO (AAP, 6/30). ... Serie A Inter Milan Owner ERICK THOHIR announced that former Inter player JAVIER ZANETTI has been named the club's VP. Thohir: "Zanetti will be the new vice president of the club, and has signed a two-year contract. The entire board has also agreed to retire his No. 4 jersey." Thohir "also announced that he would be offering" coach WALTER MAZZARRI a "one-year contract extension that will keep him at the club" until '16 (REUTERS, 6/30). ...

Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean stepped down as president of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) on Monday evening, a post he had held since 1998.

DPM Teo was succeeded by Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin at the SNOC's annual general meeting, which was held at the Swissotel Merchant Court.
