Fendt was unanimously elected to the head of the int'l Olympic federations at the 62nd FIL Congress in Austria. Secretary General SVEIN ROMSTAD and VP HARALD STEYRER were re-elected. EINARS FOGELIS was confirmed as VP technical matters and CLAIRE DELNEGRO as VP sport (FIL). ... Nike named Global Young Athletes VP & GM REENIE BENZIGER VP/Global Apparel (Nike). ... Point 3 Basketball has hired MIKKO SIMON as the brand's new VP of marketing. Simon brings more than 15 years of int'l sports and marketing experience to Point 3 and will be responsible for brand strategy, marketing operations and driving global consumer awareness (Point 3).
