Liverpool Reduces Ticket Prices As Part Of Effort To Lure More Young Fans

Liverpool has "halved the cost of match tickets for young adults for Champions League and domestic cup matches at Anfield next season," according to James Pearce of the LIVERPOOL ECHO. Supporters aged 17 to 21 will be able to watch European games for "as little as" £23 ($39), while entry to domestic Cup matches will start at £5 ($8). It's "all part of the club's determination to get more young people into Anfield to watch the Reds." Liverpool CEO Ian Ayre said, "We have listened to the feedback from our supporters' committee, who gather the views and thoughts of our supporters." Liverpool has retained its "six-tier ticket structure for next season with the pricing dependent on the seat's location and view." Some adult matchday prices have been reduced by 2.6% for next season while "others have increased on average by 6.3%" (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 6/18).
