Puma has appointed HANNELORE WEIß "as its head of merchandise for Germany, Austria and Switzerland." Weiß replaces MIROSLAV GREBENAR, "who moves to int'l marketing." Weiß "joined Puma in Feb. '11 after 10 years at adidas-owned Reebok" (TEXTILWIRTSCHAFT, 6/10). ... Spanish Basketball League (ACB) side Bilbao Basket reached an agreement with SITO ALONSO, who signed a three-year deal as the club's new coach. Alonso "will take the reins in August after he finishes his contract as coach of Spain's U17 national team" (AS, 6/17). ... ACB side Valencia Basket Sporting Dir TONI MUEDRA will "leave the club when his contract expires on June 30" (SUPERDEPORTE, 6/17). ... Spanish second division side Real Betis has appointed JULIO VELÁZQUEZ as its new coach. He replaces GABRIEL CALDERON, who left the club after it was relegated "when it finished 20th in La Liga this year" (AS, 6/17). ... Thai Premier League side Bangkok Glass "have sacked" coach ATTHAPOL BUSSAPAKOM. ANURAK SRIKERD "has been appointed caretaker coach of Bangkok Glass, who are reportedly looking for a foreign coach" (BANGKOK POST, 6/17). ... CSM Sport & Entertainment named ROB SMITH as CSM Australia managing director. The CSM group of companies operating in Australia includes sports marketing consultancy Fast Track, branding specialists ICON and motorsport marketing firm JMI. Smith joins CSM from GroupM agency SponsorCom (CSM). ... Former rugby player JON PETRIE has been named Scottish Rugby commercial operations manager (Scottish Rugby). ... Southampton has agreed to a three-year deal with former Netherlands defender RONALD KOEMAN as manager. Koeman replaces MAURICIO POCHETTINO, who took over at EPL side Tottenham last month (EPL). ... Scottish FA Compliance Officer VINCENT LUNNY will be leaving after three years in September to pursue his legal career (Scottish FA).
