Donald Trump To Rename One Of Scotland's Most Famous Golf Resorts

U.S. billionaire Donald Trump has revealed that "he will rename one of Scotland’s most famous golf resorts -- Trump Turnberry," according to Stephen Stewart of the Scotland DAILY RECORD. Trump said that he planned to make the Ayrshire hotel and golf course the “best in the world.” He also confirmed that he will spend at least £100M ($170M) "renovating the resort’s hotel." Trump owns 16 golf resorts around the globe "including his controversial links course on the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire." He "vowed to shun Scotland earlier this year after he lost his court battle against the Scottish Government’s approval of an offshore wind farm he said would blight his luxury golf resort" (DAILY RECORD, 6/16).
