More Than 11 Million Watch Germany-Cameroon Int'l Friendly On ARD

More than 11 million viewers "tuned in to watch the int'l friendly between Germany and Cameroon on Sunday evening," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. An average of 11.16 million viewers watched the game's broadcast on German public broadcaster ARD. The number translated into a market share of 33.9%. In the target demographic 14-49, the 2-2 draw attracted 4.25 million viewers and had a 33.2% share (QUOTENMETER, 6/2).

MOTORSPORTS: DWDL's Alexander Krei reported ARD "attracted a little more than 1 million viewers to its broadcast of the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) on Sunday afternoon." The third round of the '14 season from the Hungaroring was watched by 1.07 million viewers. The race obtained a market share of 9.2%. In the target demographic, the win of BMW driver Marco Wittmann had a 7.7% share. In addition, German free-to-air TV sports channel Sport1 attracted 400,000 viewers to its broadcast of the Italian MotoGP race. The race, which was won by Marc Marquez, had a 3.7% share in the target demographic (DWDL, 6/2).
