German Touring Car Championship Signs TV Deals With CBS Sports Network, BT Sport

On behalf of German Touring Car Championship (DTM) rights holder ITR, Wige Marketing "has reached an agreement with U.S. TV channel CBS Sports Network to show the '14 season," according to MOTORSPORT TOTAL. CBS Sports Network "will show all 10 DTM races in full length on time delay in the U.S. and Canada." Prior to the agreement with CBS Sports, the DTM "signed a deal with BT Sport in the U.K. to show all races of the '14 season live and as reruns." The DTM "is currently broadcast in a total of 214 countries and territories through 145 TV stations." During the '13 season, the series "had a total coverage of 8,085 hours worldwide." The DTM "reached almost 3.7 billion households through 19,250 broadcasts" (MOTORSPORT TOTAL, 5/29).
