League Notes: Sri Lanka President Calls For Cricket Match In Pakistan

Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the Sri Lankan cricket team "must go to Pakistan and play there." Rajapaksa: “We must go and play there also. We can’t allow the terrorists to have control” (SRI LANKA MIRROR, 5/20). ... Badminton "could soon see a new scoring system at the top level to benefit television coverage and make contests more attractive for viewers." The Badminton World Federation "will open discussions on the subject this weekend in New Delhi on the sidelines of the ongoing men's Thomas Cup and women's Uber Cup team championships" (AFP, 5/20).
