The U.K. Motor Sports Association has appointed BEN TAYLOR as managing director of Int'l Motor Sports Ltd., the MSA’s wholly-owned commercial subsidiary, following an internal restructuring in the wake of the departure of former CEO ANDREW COE last week. Taylor has held the position of MSA development and communications director since '11. Taylor will continue to be responsible for those MSA activities in addition to leading the promotion of Wales Rally GB, the U.K.’s round of the World Rally Championship, and the sporting organization of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone through the IMS subsidiary (MSA). ... GRAHAM ARNOLD will be named coach of A-League club Sydney FC on Thursday. He has "signed a three-year deal" worth A$1.8M ($1.7M) and "will be given total control of the club." He "had been in the sights of Perth Glory, Newcastle Jets and the New Zealand national team, but opted for what will be the biggest challenge in his coaching career" (THE AUSTRALIAN, 5/7). ... EPL side Swansea City appointed GARRY MONK "as their permanent manager after a spell in caretaker charge." The former defender "has signed a three-year contract" having been given the role of head coach following the dismissal of MICHAEL LAUDRUP in February. Monk "will be assisted by" current coach JOSEP (PEP) CLOTET (London TELEGRAPH, 5/7). ... The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) introduced ALBERT CELADES, "who until now coached Spain's U16 football team," as the new coach of the Spanish U21 team. Celades replaces JULEN LOPETEGUI, who was hired by Portuguese side FC Porto on Tuesday (EL MUNDO, 5/7). ... Argentine first division side Racing coach REINALDO CARLOS MERLO resigned from his position on Wednesday (LOS ANDES, 5/7).
