Marketplace Roundup: WTA Partners With OCBC Bank For Singapore Tournament

The WTA announced OCBC Bank as the official card partner for the BNP Paribas WTA Championships Singapore to be held Oct. 17-26 at the S$1.3B ($1B) Singapore Sports Hub. OCBC Bank card members will receive a discount of 7% when they purchase the tickets with their OCBC cards during the pre-sale period, Wednesday-May 14, and early bird period, May 15-June 1. Thereafter, they will receive a discount of 5% for general admission tickets (OCBC Bank). ... Belgian ManU player Adnan Januzaj "has entered into a long-term representation agreement with Doyen Group." The agreement will see the recently formed agency "take responsibility for the management of the 19-year-old’s commercial activity, PR and digital strategy" (SOCCEREX, 4/15). ... Microsoft Advertising announced that it has been chosen by Emirates Airline and its media agency Havas Media Group as one of the key partners for its global brand campaign. The campaign aims to raise brand awareness among a target audience of football fans by driving views of the hero video featuring footballers Cristiano Ronaldo and Pele aboard Emirates' flagship aircraft, the Airbus A380. This new campaign, which launched on March 28 at an event in Madrid and will run until Monday, leverages a variety of ad formats and interactive technologies (Microsoft). ... Second Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf "has extended its shirt sponsorship deal with telecom company Otelo for another two years." The logo of the Vodafone subsidiary "will continue to be featured on the team's jerseys until '16." The club's current deal with Otelo, which has been the team's shirt sponsor since '12, "was set to expire in the summer" (RP ONLINE, 4/15).
