Valencia Politician Complimentary Of Kusnirovich-Led Offer To Buy La Liga Valencia

Valencia Provincial Council President Alfonso Rus said that the Russian party bidding to buy La Liga side Valencia made an offer that is "very positive," according to the EFE. Rus explained that the offer led by Russian magnate Mikhail Kusnirovich, under which he would become president of the club, "will be one of the best" offers the club receives. Valencia originally received seven proposals to buy the club. Those offers are being reviewed by the committee managing the sale, which includes Valencia, majority shareholder VCF Foundation, lender Bankia and the Valencia City Council. Rus: "We have presented the offer, they are studying it and if they say it is the best, it will go forward" (EFE, 4/15).

EUROPA LEAGUE: SUPERDEPORTE reported Valencia wants to "be surrounded by as many of its fans as possible" for its Europa League contest on the road against La Liga rival Sevilla on April 24. Fans requested "a train that will take them to the match and the club is looking to provide this." The "best option would be available the day of the match, with a return trip on a special AVE high-speed train after the match, which would be much faster than a bus." Valencia is making 2,500 tickets for the match available to fans at a cost of €30 ($41), which was agreed upon by the two teams (SUPERDEPORTE, 4/15).
