League Notes: China's Anti-Doping Authorities To Target Coaches As They Update Methods

More focus will be put on Chinese coaches in "future doping case investigations as Chinese anti-doping workers seek to update their anti-doping methods." Wang Xinzhai of the China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA) said that they "are going to set up a database that includes information of several thousand coaches in the agency's recent reform" (XINHUA, 4/14). ... Australia's Women's National Basketball League will have "only eight teams next season after Logan Thunder withdrew from the league on Monday." The Thunder, "which narrowly avoided dropping out of the league on the eve of last season, confirmed its withdrawal on Monday after being unable to guarantee it had the money to operate" in the '14-15 season (THE AGE, 4/14).
