Event Notes: Sao Paulo Government Releases 236-Page Tour Guide Ahead Of World Cup

The state government of Sao Paulo on Thursday presented a "published guide for tourists visiting Brazil" for the World Cup. The 236-page guide -- available in Portuguese, English and Spanish -- is titled "Roteiros Paulistas" ("Paulista Routes") and presents 55 possible travel routes. Sao Paulo Governor Geraldo Alckmin said that he expects his state to receive 300,000 of the 1.2 million tourists expected to visit Brazil for the World Cup (EFE, 4/9). ... The FIA Formula E Championship confirmed that all of its official preseason tests will be held at Donington Park circuit in the U.K. with free admission to fans. Beginning on July 3, the 10 Formula E teams will be given five full test days with every one open to the public free of charge (Formula E). ... The Tour de Suisse is to receive an optimized format from '15 onwards. The opening and final weekends of the event will be staged in key regional areas to increase appeal and public perception and allow the fans more involvement with the event (Infront).
