A source said that Japanese pop group AKB48 music producer Yasushi Akimoto and Olympic Gold Medalist hammer thrower Koji Murofushi "are among the people informally tapped for the board of the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games" in '20, according to KYODO. In the wake of the IOC's push for increased representation of women, "a draft plan of the organizing committee members lists seven women" including volleyball Gold Medalist Yuko Arakida.
